Each purchase includes a certificate of memorial authenticity, a QR code linking to a personalized tribute video, and a set of biodegradable biodegradable bamboo straws “because your loved one cared about the planet,” says Vayntrub.
Pricing starts at $399 per batch, with the option to upgrade to the Legacy Luxe tier, which includes a custom urn-shaped shaker bottle and embroidered protein scoop with the deceased’s initials.
Reactions are mixed.
While grief influencers and wellness TikTokers have praised the concept as “emotionally integrated nutrition,” others have expressed discomfort.
“It’s either the future of mourning or the end of civilization,” said cultural anthropologist Dr. Lenora Gabb.
